From No Where

Outside of Manchester a few miles out was a small plaza where a convient store and a greasy burger joint were built side by side. Inside the burger joint were at least five customers; a young couple (both betwen the ages of 20-25), a scraggly kid dressed in a white t-shirt and tan shorts, a little girl and a young woman who may be her baby sitter. The employees were of course present their faces blank and their eyes glazed over as they waited and prayed for the long and torturous shift to be at last over.

Next door in the small store the clerk was arguing with a customer over the prices of the products. The customer looked about ready to swing while the clerk had a bat waiting under the register. Still poking around was odd looking fellow who seemed to be just interested in killing some time rather than buy anything.

Suddenly from outside something hit the large window of the shop with a noticeable if somehow light thud. The two men turned to look to see what caused it but saw nothing. They then returned to their squable. After a minute or two passed it happened again.

*Thud*

"Ok what the fuck is that?" The customer growled in a clearly annoyed tone. The clerk pulled out his bat expecting trouble. The third gentleman poked his head his eyebrow raised in curiosity.

*Thud*

The sound began to grow louder and more rapid.

*Thud* *Thud* *Thud* *Thud* *Thud*

The window was being to crack.

The customer began to back away slowly as the clerk stomped towards the window holding the bat tightly.

"Hey who fuck is there?!?!" He demanded

*Thud* *Thud* *Thud*

"Ok thats it!" The man roared as he went for the door.

*Thud* *Thud* *Thud*

The glass on the window was on its last legs.

Right as the clerk's fingers wrapped around the door handle the windows exploded in a brutal hail of glass with a force so intense that its sent the clerk and his customer reeling through the air. The shelves and racks fell over spilling the numerous can food, chips and candy all over the floor. The lights in the store flicker once then went out and for a moment everything was still.

The clerk began to pick himself up his whole body aching from the impact when his face met the wall. But before he could get back on his feet something snatched him by the leg in a powerful grip. The man began to scream and thrash in a desperate attempt to free himself from whatever had him. He saw the bat on the floor just within his reach. He doze forward his fingers just grazing the handle. He tryed once more and this time succeded.

He swung the bat hard at his attacker but to his horror the bat simply exploded into a dozen pieces. He saw something in rear up in the darkness something that made his blood turn into ice. It was smiling.

"Holy shit! Help! Help! Help me fuck! Fuck!" He hollered trying his best to break free.

The customer awoke to sound of screaming and looked to see the man being dragged away. Getting up as quickly as he could he rushed swiftly to help. He made it no more than three feet before something blindsided him from his right sending him crashing into the fridges lined with alcohol and beer.

The clerk was at the widow clinging on for dear life while shards of glass sliced into his hands. Despite the pain he held on not daring to look back at the thing in darkness.

"Help! Please someone!!!" He screamed as tears streamed down his face his body soaked with sweat.

Hearing the chaos two of the employees and the teen in the white shirt rushed out to investigate. What they saw stopped them dead in their tracks.

"Holy mother of God...." One of the employees gasped in horror.

[OOC] I shouldve stated this sooner in the first post but players are able and encouraged to join this scene

It smile gleefully at those that stared in awe at it's perfect form, its unmatched grace and aura that radiated from it appearance. It looked back towards it prey...its prize.

One of the employees managed to fight his fear and looked at the others.

"One of you get inside and call the police now!" He said quickly his eyes wild.

The second employee ran as fast as possible back into the restaurant.

The teen was the first to take action rush to his car and began scrounging for something to use. The employee looked at his surroundings and found a rock.

"Hey freak!" He said as he threw it as hard he could.

The baseball sized stone found it mark hit the thing on the head. The entity looked back at the insolent fool that dared challenge it.

[OOC] Players are able and encouraged to join this scene

Kai, taking a simple stroll, and happened by the scene. When he got close, he stared at the creature, trying to judge what it was, if it had a blood potency. Inside he sighed, wondering how these kinds of things kept showing up. They told him America had less supernatural, that seemed hardly the case. On the outside, he showed a confused boy, staring in wonder.
"Is this some kind of TV show?" He said innocently.

Hearing Kai the employee whipped around and looked at him.

"You! Yo-you gotta get out of here!!! Bring help please!" He shouted his voice clearly shaking the courage he managed to muster wavering.

The creature shot out of the shadows at the terrified man stopping before him. The lights from the restaurant and the parking lot light reveal most of its grotesque from. It was a tall looming being with black scale like skin it form organic while at the same time looked "mechanical", its long arms that reached the ground. It one of its clawed hands held the clerk who was still squirming to break free. The thing had a long tail which wipped around like it had a life of its own. The most horrifying feature of the entity was its face. There were no eyes or hair but slimy fleshy lips and horribly maleformed ears.

[OOC] Kai senses no blood potency but instead a heavy malecious aura resonating from its presence.

The thing snatched the man by the throat and held him up to it face. The man screamed as the creatures lips curled back, its mouth opening wide to reveal a dark and vitreous mouth lined with rows of sharp teeth. The man's screaming was cut off as the monster inhaled the entirity of it's victim's head.

Kai studied the creature some, and sighed slightly. After a moment he begins to approach it, finger extended pointing at it.
"No. Bad. We do not eat people. No. Spit him out."
Kai continues til he is close to touching it.

::charles was sitting in the back seat of his car, riding down the road.
the car aburtly stopped, a bright red light began to blink inside the car.
Charles grabbed a large caliber gun ( with silencer) and looked out the the moon roof.
He was far away, but with a good rifle everything you can see is in range.
He began to peer down the scope. Zooming in a saw the huge beast and the remains of a man in it's mouth.
Charles felt bad that he was to late to save the DEAD man.

into the car, Charles speaks::

If that man (kia) goes down be ready to drive in a save him.

:: Charles peers down his scope and waits.::

Hearing Kai the creature pauses for a moment pulls the man out of its mouth. The man's face was blue and pale as if he was freezing to death while in the monsters clutches.

The monster looked at Kai and smiled widely. It then threw the man through air with tremendous force. The employee crashed head first into the huge logo of a happy burger face. A brilliant flash of electricity then elluminated the air as the unfortunate man was battered by the thousands of volts coursing through his body.

The creature let out a shriek of delight then returned its attention to Kai smiling still and the claws on one hand grew long and blade like.

The people in the restaurant were all in a frenzy even before the logo exploded. Some were trying to hide, others were on their phones or taking pictures with them and some were trying to use chairs and tables in order to make a crude barricade.

The monster suddenly heard something in the distance and hissed retracting its claws then turned and started to leave dragging the helpless store clerk along.

[OOC] If Charles looks down the street he can see several sets of red and blue lights flashing in the distance.

The young teen had finally found what he was looking for in his car. His crossbow. After loading a bolt into it he gave chase pushing past Kai.

"Eat this you freak!" He roared as he took aim.

Kai made a simple 'hmm', surprised the creature listened to him. He wondered if the man that was thrown was alive, but doubted it. He smiled as the boy passed him with a crossbow, and waited to see how it turned out. He does make one last shout, seeing as he was on a roll.
"Hey! Drop the dude! No kidnapping people either!"

The teen fires the shot sending the bolt spiraling towards its mark. The creature whipped around swiftly and caught it before it could reach it. The monster snarled and threw the bolt to the ground.

The teen began loading a second shot and the monster let out a cry of rage. It ripped a sign post out of the earth and heaved it like a javelin. The metal tip skewering the human through the chest. The people in the restaurant screamed at the horrific sight.

The dying teen collapsed to his knees before collapsing and losing consciousness as blood poured through the wound.

The creature then turned away and continued its leave ignoring Kai.

[OOC] Both Kai and Charles can hear that the sirens are very close now. Charles can see several squad cars coming down the street closing in fast on the plaza.

::Charles goes from combat mode to save people and the masquerade mode::


::The car quickly pulls up to the wounded. Charles and Two other people get out of the car and start tending to the near dead. ::



:: Charles take note of the crossbow bolt while helping the teen, (if it is solid wood and not fiberglass this guy is a hunter)::
:: Charles quickly says one thing to the wounded (presumed) hunter and moves on inside::

::He gives Kia wink,, somehow that wink says always more breaches to fix::

::Charles begins to walk inside ready to have people delete any pictures, and rewrite their mind. "it was clearly a large dude in a fake costume" is a thought many people are about to have::

"Check that kid's ID."
Kai then gives a simple nod to Chuck, and turns to watch as the creature shuffle off. He continues to look in that direction, and takes a few steps back. He meanders into a spot that no light reaches, and disappears.
