Memorial to a Mad Scientist

Projecting from Xavier's laptop to a hanging screen is the photograph of the most famous and influential Serbian in history. Politically he was inept, but he left a greater mark on the world than other person to have ever come out that region of the world. A man who the popular view of a mad scientist perfectly. This man invented the radio, remote control, alternating current, wireless electric power, and more. Xavier is silent, with his head bowed in respect for 10 full minutes. After that time Xavier says in a solemn voice.

"Rest In Piece Nikola Tesla, your notes were final taken from Edison Electrical, and released to the public one year ago today. If your spirit does still exist in some form, know that I honor you as the world's greatest Inventor."

Lady Pendragon walks into the memorial and says "Now that was a man that I could love." She sets down a very dark red rose, kneels to the projection and has a moment of silence, and then leaves again.

Interestingly enough, due to some of Xavier's work from a year ago, for the first time a practical use would be found for the the Tesla coil. Wireless powered microscopic robots were being used to treat cancer for the first time this night at Mass General in Boston with the help of some kids from MIT. A small coil use to power small machines instead of a big device used to power big machines. The man did move from Croatia (well back then it was part of the Austrian Empire, but only in name) to the United States and was proud of being an American, but Tesla never forgot his Serbian roots. Xavier felt that Tesla would have approved of a memorial on this day, more than a memorial on the day of his birth or his death. Tesla was an inventor who loved improvisation and adaptation.

Smiling that another kindred recognized the greatness of the man, he puts the rose in a small vase with damp soil. Next to the flower a warm plasma lamp is set, arcs of electricity visibly shining.
